Ingredients for Making Mushroom Cutlets

Cooking mushrooms cutlets:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.


Cutlets cannot be made from mushrooms alone. Need a formative ingredient. Typically, semolina, rice or potatoes are added. I prefer the latter. A lot of it is not needed, just a couple of pieces per pound of mushrooms.
So, peel the potatoes and boil until cooked.

We drain the water and turn it into mashed potatoes with a fork or a pusher. This is best done with warm potatoes, completely cooled will resist this with all their might.

The preparation of other ingredients is best done while the potatoes are cooked. My champignons under running water, carefully remove the adhering leaves and the ground. Soaking mushrooms in water is not worth it, they quickly absorb it and when frying it will be all in a pan. Are you done? Cut them as small as possible and transfer to a plate.

Peel the onion and chop finely.

We put the pan on the stove, put a piece of butter and heat well. Put chopped champignons, fry for 5-7 minutes, add onions. Salt a little and passé still about 5-6 minutes on low heat. During this time, mushrooms and onions will be ready.

It remains to finely chop the parsley. Do not forget to rinse it under running water and dry it with paper towels.

Step 2: Cook the mushroom patties.


In a bowl we put all the prepared ingredients: mashed potatoes, fried mushrooms and onions, chopped greens. We beat in the egg, add spices, salt to taste and mix everything thoroughly. The result should be a homogeneous mass.

We form small cutlets from it.

It is best to fry them in butter, on vegetable it will not be so tasty. Our task is to get a beautiful golden crust on both sides. Put the prepared mushroom patties on a dinner plate.

Step 3: Serve the mushroom patties.


Serve mushroom patties with fresh vegetable salad and your favorite sauce. Very tasty and just with sour cream.

Recipe Tips:

- if you dip the patties in a whipped egg with a pinch of salt before frying, and then roll them well in breadcrumbs, you will get a delicious crisp;

- fried mushrooms and onions can be chopped with a blender, before being mixed with other ingredients, then the mass will turn out to be more uniform.
