Turkey Beef Stroganoff


Ingredients for making beef stroganoff from turkey

Cooking beef stroganoff from turkey:

Step 1: prepare the meat.


Take a small turkey fillet weighing 500 grams, rinse it under cold running water and dry with paper kitchen towels. After we lay the poultry meat on a cutting board and cut across the fibers with cubes 6 to 8 millimeters wide and 5 to 7 centimeters long. We shift the slices into a deep bowl and sprinkle them with salt to taste, for a start 1 - 2 pinch is quite enough. We leave the meat in this form on 10 - 15 minutes so that the fillet pieces are saturated with salt.

Step 2: prepare the onion.


Then using a knife for slicing raw vegetables, peel 2 heads of onions and peel them under cold running water from sand. After we dry the vegetables with paper towels, put on a cutting board and cut into rings, half rings, straws or cubes - the main thing is that the thickness of the pieces does not exceed 3 to 5 millimeters. Leave the cut on the board and immediately proceed to the next step.

Step 3: fry the onions.


Now turn on the stove to a medium level and put on it a deep frying pan with 30 milliliters of vegetable oil. When the oil is warm, put chopped onion in it and simmer, stirring with a wooden kitchen spatula, until light golden crust, transparency and amber color. This process will take approximately 3-5 minutes depending on the temperature of the pan. When the bow takes the desired texture and color, we transfer it to a deep plate, helping ourselves with a slotted spoon.

Step 4: prepare the Bechamel sauce.


Then we take a clean deep non-stick saucepan, put 50 grams of butter in it and put it on a stove that is turned on to a small level.

When the butter has melted, add 1 tablespoon of sifted wheat flour to the pan, helping yourself with a wooden kitchen spatula, mix it with butter and fry, stirring for 1 - 2 minutes to a light yellowish tint.

In 1 - 2 minutes pour 100 milliliters of sour cream and 150 milliliters of pre-warmed, hot chicken stock into the same pan. Mix the liquids to a homogeneous consistency, reduce the temperature of the stove to the lowest level and cook the sauce for 35 minutes until thickened. Periodically stir the aromatic mass with a whisk so that the sauce does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
Then add salt, ground dried mushrooms, ground black pepper and nutmeg to taste. Re-mix the sauce with a whisk and cook more 5 minutes, exactly so much time is needed for the spices to begin to dissolve the spicy aroma.

Step 5: bring the dish to full readiness.


When the sauce is ready, pour it into a pan in which the meat was fried, add fried onions to the same place and put the bowl on a stove included at the smallest level. Continuously stirring, bring the sauce to a light "gurgle". Then we add the roasted turkey meat into it and, constantly stirring, we bring the aromatic mass to a boil again.
Cover, let the dish go out 2 - 3 minutes and turn off the stove. Insist beef stroganoff under the lid yet 10 - 15 minutes, after we lay out the resulting yummy on plates and serve.

Step 6: serve beef stroganoff from turkey.


Turkey beef stroganoff is served hot as a second hot dish. It can be savored with a slice of fresh homemade bread or served with a side dish, for example, the ideal option is french fries, mashed potatoes or a salad of fresh vegetables. Enjoy it!
