Ingredients for Making Simple Fish Soup

Cooking a simple fish soup:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.


Unlike fish soup, we use only fish fillet to make this simple soup. This recipe is useful in case skeleton fish with a head and tail in the kitchen has not yet formed. Do not buy a whole fish for a bowl of soup.
When choosing between salmon and trout, consider that the first is fatter than the second. If you choose it, then the amount of butter can be halved, fat will be enough, and enough for taste and half.

We clean all root crops. Cut the potatoes into medium cubes, carrots into circles, if thin and long, or into cubes. Peel the onion and leave it in this form or cut into cubes. In the first case, she will give everything we want from her to the broth, but she won’t get on the plate.
Parsley root is cleaned and cut into four parts. That's all, we will cook the soup.

Step 2: Prepare a simple fish soup.


Wuhu begin to cook with fish broth, and this soup begins with vegetable. We put a pot of water on the stove, heat it to a boil and put potatoes, carrots, onions and parsley root. Salt to taste and cook vegetables for 20-25 minutes on low heat.

Put a piece of butter, bay leaf and peppercorns in a pan. Cook another 10 minutes.

It's time for the fish fillet. We put it in a vegetable broth, try on salt, if necessary, add to taste. Cook the soup for about 10-15 minutes on low heat.

Turn off the heat and - finishing touch - add finely chopped fresh dill. We cover the pan with a lid and leave the soup to infuse for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Serve a simple fish soup.


Pour the soup into plates and serve. A wonderful addition to it will be fresh bread with crisp, crackers or croutons.

Recipe Tips:

- if you do not like large pieces of fish in the soup, remove the skin from the fillet and cut it into small pieces;

- make white bread toasts with good mayonnaise or sour cream with garlic for soup.
