Cooking cheese baked in the oven:

Step 1: prepare the cheese.


Put the feta cheese on a cutting board and use a knife to cut into cubes approximately 2-2.5 centimeters. Gently move the component into a small bowl so that it does not crumble.

Step 2: prepare the tomatoes.


Rinse the tomatoes under running water and spread in a deep bowl. Pour vegetables with hot water and leave aside to blanch for 7-10 minutes.

After the allotted time, drain the liquid, and put the tomatoes on a cutting board. Using a knife, remove the skin and then cut the component into thin slices. Attention: seeds can not be removed. Shredded vegetables are transferred back to the bowl. Important: the container must be washed in advance under running water.

Step 3: prepare bell peppers.


We rinse the bell pepper under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using kitchen paper towels, wipe the component dry and transfer to a baking sheet. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to a temperature 180 ° C. Immediately after that we put the capacity in the oven to the middle level and bake for 25-40 minutes until black charred spots appear on the surface of the vegetable. Attention: so that bell pepper is cooked on all sides, every 7 minutes we take it out with the help of kitchen oven mitts and turn it on the other side, using special tongs.

After the allotted time, turn off the oven, and take out the baking sheet and leave it aside. We are waiting for the component to cool slightly and it will be possible to work with it. Then put it on a cutting board and use a knife to remove the tail and seeds. Attention: peel can be removed as desired. I usually leave it because I like the smoky flavor in the dish. At the end, cut the bell pepper along into 2-4 parts and grind each piece into thin strips. Pour finely chopped vegetable into a clean plate.

Step 4: prepare the parsley.


We wash the parsley under running water, shake off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the herbs and pour into a clean saucer.

Step 5: prepare the butter.


We spread the butter on a cutting board and use a knife to cut into small pieces. The crushed component is moved to a free saucer.

Step 6: prepare the cheese, baked in the oven.


Lubricate the bottom and walls of the baking dish with a small piece of butter. Put the cheese cubes into the container with the first even layer. Then we place on top slices of tomatoes and a little salt. Attention: carefully add the last component, since the cheese itself is very salty. We spread the baked bell pepper with the last layer. The vegetable should fully cover the previous ingredients. Sprinkle all with savory and paprika (one coffee spoon will be enough). On the surface of the dish we lay out pieces of butter. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to a temperature 220 ° C. Immediately after that, put the container with cheese in the oven to the middle level and bake for 8-10 minutes. After the allotted time with the help of kitchen tacks, we get out the form, with a knife we ​​break the shell of the eggs, and carefully pour the yolks with proteins onto the surface of the dish. Important: try to keep the yolks intact. We put the container back into the oven and continue to bake another 8-10 minutesuntil the squirrels turn white and the yolks set slightly. At the end we turn off the oven, and we take out the dish with the help of kitchen gloves and set aside. Before serving, sprinkle feta cheese with vegetables chopped parsley.

Step 7: serve the cheese baked in the oven.


Cheese baked in the oven must be served hot to the dining table. In general, this is a dish of Balkan cuisine and very often it is put directly in a baking dish. For example, in Bulgaria and Romania such cheese is generally prepared in special clay pots. We need to cut it into portioned slices, since we have a large capacity. Together with the dish, a glass of dry red wine and pieces of bread, which can be dipped in a semi-liquid yolk, are recommended.

- if you want to cook a dish in special clay pots, then be sure to put them in a still cold oven so that the dishes are evenly heated. The cooking time for cheese should be detected from the moment when the temperature in the oven reaches 220 ° C;

- before baking bell pepper, the baking sheet can be lightly greased with a small amount of olive or vegetable oil so that the vegetable does not stick to the surface of the container;

- in addition to the spices indicated in the recipe, red hot ground pepper on the tip of the knife can also be added to the dish.
