Cooking fried mussels with onions:

Step 1: prepare the mussels.

Spread the mussels in a medium bowl and leave aside to defrost to room temperature. Attention: Never place seafood under running hot water or in the microwave. They must defrost on their own to make the dish juicy, quite tasty and healthy.
After that, put the mussels in a colander or sieve and rinse slightly under running water.

Step 2: prepare the onion.

Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and rinse thoroughly under running water. We lay out the component on a cutting board and cut into four parts. Then we cut each piece into thin strips across and move it to a clean plate.

Step 3: prepare the lime.

In fact, we only need lime juice, so using a juicer, squeeze the juice out of citrus and leave it aside for a while.

Step 4: Cook the fried mussels with onions.

Pour a small amount of olive oil into the pan and put on medium heat. When the container with the contents warms up well, put the chopped onion into it and, stirring it with a wooden spatula from time to time, fry until tender golden.

Now add the mussels to the pan, mix everything thoroughly again and continue cooking the dish. A small amount of juice should form. As soon as this happens, make the fire less than average and simmer the seafood with onions for 5 minutes. When the ingredients begin to brown, salt and pepper to taste, mix well with a wooden spatula and turn off the burner. Everything, the dish is ready!

Step 5: Serve the fried mussels with onions.

Using a wooden spatula, transfer the fried mussels with onions to a special plate, pour freshly squeezed lime juice and can serve to the dining table. Seafood prepared in this way can be eaten both in cold and in hot form. As a side dish, fresh vegetables, such as tomatoes, herbs, lettuce, and slices of bread, are perfect for such a dish.
Good appetite!
