Cooking jacket potatoes with cheese and garlic:

Step 1: prepare and bake potatoes.


First of all, turn on and preheat the oven up to 200 degrees Celsius. After that, using a kitchen brush, thoroughly rinse the potatoes under cold running water.
Then wipe it dry with paper kitchen towels, rub it with coarse rock salt, put it on the bottom of the non-stick pan and chop the tubers in several places with a toothpick so that the peel does not burst during cooking. 5-6 punctures from all sides will be quite enough.
After some time, set the baking sheet in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake the potatoes for about one and a half hours.

Step 2: prepare the products for the filling.


We don’t waste time in vain, we make the first preparation for the filling. Cut off the paraffin crust from the hard cheese and rub it on a medium or fine grater directly into a deep plate.
Next, peel the garlic, and green onions remove the roots. We wash the vegetables under cold running water and dry with paper kitchen towels.
Then put the onion on a cutting board and chop finely. Squeeze the garlic cloves through a press into a small bowl and put on the kitchen table the remaining products that will be needed to prepare the filling.

Step 3: prepare the baked potatoes.


When the potatoes are baked, with the help of kitchen gloves we rearrange the baking sheet from the oven to the countertop. Then we put the kitchen towel in 2 - 3 layers, carefully place one hot root crop on it and cut it into 2 equal parts.

Then, using a tablespoon, remove from each half of the potato a little pulp or all, trying not to touch the peel of the vegetable. After we spread the resulting potato pockets on a baking sheet and in the same way we prepare the rest.

Step 4: prepare the filling.


We transfer the potato pulp into a deep bowl, put sour cream and butter in the same place and knead these products with a crush to the consistency of the mashed potatoes, with small lumps.
Then we add half the grated cheese, green onions, all the crushed garlic, and also salt with black ground pepper to the resulting mixture. Again we mix everything until smooth and proceed to the next step.

Step 5: bring the dish to full readiness.


We fill the resulting filling with potato pockets, sprinkle each with 2 - 3 pinches of chopped cheese and put it in the hot oven again, but this time on 8 - 10 minutes.
After the required time, we put the same kitchen gloves on our hands, take out the finished dish from the oven, put on the countertop and use a kitchen spatula to place on plates at the rate of: 2 halves of potatoes per person. Then sprinkle each serving with the remaining green onions and serve the food to the table.

Step 6: serve the jacket potatoes with cheese and garlic.


Uniform jacket with cheese and garlic is served hot as a second main course. Before this, each portion of this dish can be sprinkled with chopped greens of dill, cilantro, parsley or green onions.

Also, very often potatoes are watered with melted butter or regular vegetable oil. This yummy can be supplemented with a salad of fresh vegetables or served as a side dish for meat, fish, poultry and game dishes. Enjoy it!
