Creamy Salmon Soup


Ingredients for Making Creamy Salmon Soup

Making creamy salmon soup:

Step 1: prepare the carrots.


With a knife, peel the carrots and rinse thoroughly under running water. We put one carrot aside for the broth.

And grind the second on a fine grater directly into a free plate.

Step 2: prepare the onion.


Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and rinse thoroughly under running water. We put one component aside for the broth, and the second on the cutting board.

Finely chop the onion with small squares and pour into a clean plate.

Step 3: prepare the fish.


We wash the salmon on all sides under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, remove the head from the main carcass. After we cut off the gills and gouge out our eyes (we will not need them). Then we remove the tail and carefully separate the ridge from the fillet.

We clean the flesh of the skin from the skin and cut into medium pieces. We put the chopped salmon for a while in a free bowl, and everything else in a medium saucepan.

Step 4: prepare the fish broth.


Pour the pan with the fish tail, skeleton, head and skin with water so that it completely covers the components. We put the container on a large fire and bring to a boil. When the liquid boils, foam forms on its surface. Be sure to remove it with a slotted spoon or a small sieve. Now we make a medium heat, and in the pan we spread the peeled onions, carrots, allspice peas and bay leaf. Boil the broth at low boil for 30 minutes under the cover.

After the allotted time, turn off the burner and use a slotted spoon to remove parts of the fish, vegetables and spices from the pan. They will no longer be useful to us, so you can throw them away or give them to your beloved cat. Filter the broth itself through a sieve into another clean pan. To do this, hold the container with kitchen tacks and gently pour the liquid from one container to another. We should get a beautiful, transparent, golden broth. Add salt to it and mix well with a tablespoon.

Step 5: prepare the vegetable frying.


Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and put on medium heat. When the container with the contents warms up well, put the chopped onion into it. From time to time, stirring it with a wooden spatula, fry until transparent. Then add carrot chips to the pan, mix everything again and continue cooking vegetables until the last component is soft. Everything, turn off the burner and go to the next stage of cooking.

Step 6: prepare the potatoes.


Using a knife, peel the potatoes and rinse thoroughly under running water. We spread it on a cutting board and cut into small cubes. The crushed component is moved to the bowl and filled with water so that it does not darken when interacting with air.

Step 7: prepare the dill.


We wash the dill under running water, shake off excess fluid and transfer to a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the greens and then pour it into a clean saucer.

Step 8: prepare the base for creamy dressing.


Put a piece of butter in a clean frying pan and put the container on a small fire. Constantly stirring with a wooden spatula, bring the component to a liquid state. Immediately after that, pour the flour into the pan through a strainer so that no lumps form. Fry the last component until a soft golden color. In the end, we dilute the mixture with a small amount of fish broth, mix everything again until smooth and turn off the burner. So that the base of the creamy dressing does not continue to boil, set the container aside.

Step 9: prepare the creamy salmon soup.


We put the pot with hot broth on medium heat again and bring to a boil. Immediately after that, carefully spread the potato slices into the container, mix everything well with a tablespoon and cook the vegetable for 7-10 minutes under the cover. When the potatoes are almost ready, add vegetable frying and the base for creamy dressing to it. We mix everything well with improvised equipment and wait for the soup to boil again. Immediately after that, carefully lay out the pieces of salmon and then cook the dish for 7-8 minutes. At the end, pour finely chopped dill into the container and pour the cream. We bring the soup to a boil again and turn off the burner. Cover the finished first dish with a lid and let it brew for 10 minutes.

Step 10: serve the creamy salmon soup.


Pour cream soup with salmon with a scoop into deep plates and serve to the dining table with slices of bread or crackers. Words can’t convey the taste and aroma of this soup. It turns out to be very unusual, rich and satisfying.

Recipe Tips:

- if you use a large carcass of fish to make soup, then you can take only fillet for cooking the broth, and the tail, head, skeleton and skin are useful for other dishes;

- Instead of fresh dill, you can add dried to the soup. After all, the taste of this will not change;

- ready-made creamy soup with salmon can be sprinkled with finely chopped fresh parsley;

- To prepare such a soup, you can use fish such as salmon, trout, sockeye salmon or coho salmon.
