Bun "Flower"


Ingredients for making flower buns

Dough:

  1. Sifted wheat flour 400 grams per dough and 50 grams for rolling

  3. Pasteurized whole milk 250 milliliters
  4. Granular dry yeast 1 teaspoon
  5. Sugar 2 teaspoons for dough and 1 tablespoon for kneading

Filling:

  1. Softened butter 100 grams in the filling and 50 grams for the mold
  2. Granulated sugar 50-100 grams
  3. Vanilla sugar to taste
  4. Cinnamon to taste and desire

Fill:

  1. Pasteurized whole milk 150 milliliters
  2. Sugar 50-100 grams
  3. Vanilla sugar to taste

Topping:

  1. Sugar, sesame or sunflower seeds as desired and to taste

Cooking Flower Buns:

Step 1: prepare the dough.


In a small saucepan over medium heat 50 milliliters whole pasteurized milk. Its temperature should not exceed 35 - 38 degreesotherwise the dough will not work. When the milk is heated, remove it from the stove and pour it into a small bowl.
Pour 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of granular yeast there. Mix these products with a tablespoon to a uniform consistency and forget about the mixture on 12 - 15 minutes, so that the dough could rise.

Step 2: prepare the yeast dough.


After the required time, we put the eggs in a deep bowl and lightly beat them with a table fork until splendid. Then we add to them the remaining 200 milliliters of milk at room temperature, 1 tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of salt, a risen dough and again mix everything until smooth.
After that, we begin to introduce sifted wheat flour into the resulting mixture - about 400 grams. We do this gradually, while kneading a soft, tender, slightly sticky dough to the hands.
When it acquires the desired structure, we roll the semi-finished flour into a bowl, put it back in a bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel and put in a warm place on 1 hour. During this time, the dough will increase in size approximately 3 times.

Step 3: prepare the filling.


After 1 hour start to prepare the filling. Put in a clean deep bowl 100g softened butter, 50 - 100 grams granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and optionally cinnamon.
Grind these products with a tablespoon to a homogeneous consistency and partial dissolution of sugar grains.
Then grease the bottom and the inside of the non-stick baking dish with the remaining butter.

Step 4: form the "Flower" bun.


Then put the dough on the countertop, sprinkled with a thin layer of flour. Lightly crush it, with the help of a rolling pin we roll it into a layer thick up to 3 millimeters and apply a layer of filling on its surface.

After that, carefully roll the rolled dough into a medium-density roll, cut it with a kitchen knife into equal-sized triangles and put them on the bottom of the form in a circle in the form of a flower. We put the extreme cuts of the roll in the middle.

Then, if desired, sprinkle the formed product with sugar, sesame seeds or raw sunflower seeds and put in a warm place on 30 minutes. At the same time, turn on and preheat the oven up to 180 degrees Celsius.

Step 5: prepare the fill.


Now pour into a glass 150 milliliters milk at room temperature. Add to it 50 - 100 grams granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and mix everything to a homogeneous consistency without grains.

Step 6: bake the "Flower" bun.


After the product formed from the dough rises, pour into the mold half the mixture of milk and sugar. Then we put it in a preheated oven on a medium rack. Bake a bun 15 minutes.
Then we get it, fill it with the remains of sweet milk and bake again 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown.
After that, we put on kitchen gloves in our hands, remove the mold from the oven and put it on a cutting board, previously laid on the countertop.
We cover the bun with a clean kitchen towel so that the gap remains, and allow it to cool slightly.

Step 7: serve the "Flower" bun.


Bun "Flower" - delicious and very delicate pastries. It is served warm or at room temperature. After cooking, the butter flower is divided into portions, laid out on dessert plates and served with hot or cold drinks: tea, coffee, cocoa, milk or a milkshake. Enjoy it!

Recipe Tips:

- instead of vanilla sugar, you can use liquid vanilla extract;

- butter can be replaced with premium margarine with a very low water content;
