Cooking squid in sour cream sauce:

Step 1: Clean the squid.


Raw squids need to be thoroughly washed and all the entrails removed from them, or buy already cleaned squid carcasses. Remove the film and get rid of the cartilage plate, if any. Although now they mainly sell squid in peeled form.

Step 2: Cut the onion.


Onions should be cut into thin half rings or rings, as you like. I prefer to cut it all in half rings, it’s more convenient to cut and use it.

Step 3: Fry the onion.


Cook a pan, heat vegetable oil in it. Throw the onion in a pan, lightly fry until golden, it is important that the onion does not burn. Then, add 1-2 tablespoons of flour, not immediately, but gradually, so that the flour does not take lumps, mix with onion, sour cream, salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Add the squid.


Next we add the squid. Pre squids need to be cut into slices or rings, as you like. As soon as the mixture boils, simmer for about 3-5 minutes, not more. Remove from heat, add finely chopped greens, it can be parsley, dill, decorate and serve.

Step 5: Serve.

- Before cooking, squid can also be first boiled in salted water for 2-3 minutes.

- Sunflower oil can be replaced with butter. It will not be so economical, but the dish will acquire a more noble taste
