Vegetarian Charlotte Ingredients

  1. Premium wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Semolina 1 cup
  3. Sugar 3/4 cup
  4. Salt pinch
  5. Vegetable oil 0.5 cups (or butter - 100 g)
  6. Kefir 1 cup
  7. Apple (average) 3-4 pcs
  8. Vanilla Sugar 1 sachet
  9. Baking soda 1 tsp to taste
  10. Table vinegar for quenching soda
  11. White bread crackers for sprinkling the bottom of the mold
  12. Powdered sugar to decorate the finished charlotte

Cooking vegetarian Charlotte:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.


Wash the apples, cut into small pieces and transfer to a plate.

Sift the flour, add semolina, salt, sugar, salt and mix. Sifting flour not only eliminates the possibility of unnecessary impurities getting into the dough, but also improves the rise of the product during baking, as the flour is enriched with oxygen.
Of the ingredients that need to be prepared are kefir and butter (if you use it). Pour kefir into the pan and heat a little over the smallest fire, make sure that it does not overheat. Butter needs to be warmed up so that it becomes soft and plastic, you can melt it.

Step 2: Cooking Vegetarian Charlotte


In the prepared flour, add vegetable oil (or butter) and mix thoroughly. Then pour the warmed kefir, soda (it must first be extinguished with vinegar) and vanilla sugar, mix until smooth.
Now you can add the chopped apples to the dough, mix and put in a baking dish. Another option is to lay the apples on the bottom of the mold, lay the dough on top. In any case, the bottom of the mold and side must be greased with oil and sprinkled with breadcrumbs, or covered with parchment paper.

Smooth the surface of the dough with a spatula. Put the charlotte in preheated 220 degrees bake and bake 10 minutesthen lower the temperature to 180 degrees and bake more 20-30 minutes until golden brown. To check the readiness of the charlotte, pierce it in the center with a toothpick - if it comes out dry, then the dough has baked and can be removed; if not, put it back in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, and then repeat the check. Bake vegetarian charlotte until cooked.

Remove the charlotte from the oven and let it cool in shape. Then put the charlotte on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Step 3: Serve the vegetarian Charlotte.
