Pineapple Rice


Pineapple Rice Ingredients

  1. Long grain rice 3 cups
  2. Pineapple medium 1 piece
  3. 2 cloves medium sized garlic

  7. Spice curry (powder) 1 tablespoon

  10. Vegetable oil 50 milliliters
  11. Cashew nuts fried 1/2 cup
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Ground black pepper to taste
  14. Cold purified water 6 glasses

Cooking rice in pineapple:

Step 1: prepare the rice.


Pour long-grain rice into the middle cauldron and fill it with ordinary cold water. With clean hands, mix the groats and carefully drain the water into the sink. We perform the same procedure several times until the water becomes clear. This must be done so that the rice is crumbly.

Now we fill the cauldron with purified water and put the container on medium heat. When the water boils, salt it to taste and make a small fire. Cover the cauldron with a lid and cook the cereal for 20-30 minutes until water boils completely. As soon as this happens, turn off the burner. Holding the container with kitchen tacks, pour the boiled rice into a colander and cool it with running cold water. At the end, we transfer the colander back to the cauldron and set it aside. Let the remaining liquid drain from the rice.

Step 2: prepare the garlic.


Spread the garlic cloves on a cutting board and, using a knife, gently press down on the knife handle. After that, peel the vegetable from the husk with our hands and chop finely. We shift the processed garlic into a free saucer.

Step 3: prepare the onion.


Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and then thoroughly rinse under running water. We spread the vegetable on a cutting board and chop finely. The processed ingredient is transferred to a free plate.

Step 4: prepare the shrimp.


Pour ordinary cold water into a free pan and put the container on medium heat. When the water boils, salt it to taste and spread the frozen shrimp. As soon as the liquid boils again, turn off the burner, and transfer the seafood with a slotted spoon to a cutting board to cool. After that, we clean the shrimp from the shell and head with our hands and transfer to a clean plate.

Step 5: prepare bell peppers.


We rinse the bell pepper under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, peel the vegetable from the tail and seeds and cut into a thin strip. Shredded pepper is transferred to a clean plate.

Step 6: prepare the carrots.


With a knife, peel the carrots and rinse thoroughly under running water. We spread the vegetable on a cutting board and rub it on a grater for Korean dishes (you can use a regular grater). The processed ingredient is transferred to a clean plate.

Step 7: prepare the pineapple.


We wash the whole pineapple under running warm water and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, cut the fruit into two halves. Using a tablespoon, we clean the flesh and transfer it to a clean plate. Put the pineapple bowls to the side, as they are still useful to us as a serving dish.

We lay out the pulp of the fruit on a cutting board and cut it into small pieces with a knife. The processed component is transferred back to the plate.

Step 8: Cooking Pineapple Rice


Pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan and put the container on medium heat. When the oil warms up well, pour the chopped garlic with onion into the pan. From time to time, stirring everything with a wooden spatula, fry the vegetables until golden brown. After this, pour the frying back into the plate.

Immediately after that, lay the peeled shrimp in the pan, add some oil if necessary and fry the seafood until golden brown. Then we transfer them back to the plate.

Add a little more vegetable oil to the pan and put it on medium heat again. We put straws of pepper and carrots into the container, mix everything well and lightly fry. Now pour boiled rice into the pan, mix everything well until smooth, cover the container with a lid and simmer the ingredients for 7-10 minutes. After the allotted time, open the lid and add to the main mass pieces of pineapple, salt to taste and curry. Mix everything thoroughly with a wooden spatula and continue to cook the dish for another 5 minutes. At the end, add vegetable frying, shrimp, raisins, cashew nuts. Mix everything thoroughly and stew rice in pineapple 10-15 minutes, stirring everything from time to time. After the allotted time, turn off the burner and can serve the dish to the table.

Step 9: serve the rice in the pineapple.


Immediately after cooking, pour the mass from the pan into the pineapple bowl and hurry to serve to the dining table until it has cooled. This dish is ideal for the holiday, as it is very beautiful and fragrant.

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of onions, Crimean sweet onions can be added to the dish.

- Instead of cashew nuts in the dish, you can add peanuts or other nuts to your taste.
