Ingredients for Making Egg Bread

  1. Milk 3% 1 cup
  2. Butter 1/2 pack (can be replaced with margarine)
  3. Sugar 1 cup (can be reduced to taste)
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. Dry Yeast 2 Pack
  6. Warm water 1/4 cup
  7. 3 eggs
  8. Wheat flour 5 cups (with a hill)

Cooking Egg Bread:

Step 1: Heat the milk.


Place a pan with the indicated amount of milk on the stove. On medium heat, stirring the tablespoon with false, add the butter or margarine, salt and sugar. Continuing stirring, bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 2: Knead the dough.


In a bowl for ingredients, mix with a mixer dry yeast and warm water, until a homogeneous consistency. Add warmed milk and 2 eggs, beat well.
Pour the flour in parts so that it is completely mixed. Lastly, add raisins.
The dough should be sticky.

Step 3: Wait until the dough rises.


Take a bowl larger in size than the resulting mixture. Lubricate it with a small amount of vegetable oil, put the finished dough there. Top with vegetable oil again. Cover with plastic wrap or bag and put in a warm place, without drafts.
We need about 1 hour to double the dough.

Step 4: Put the rising dough on the work surface.


Sprinkle a small amount of flour on the work surface (table or rolling board), put the dough out of a bowl.
The less flour you use when rolling, the better the bread will turn out.

Step 5: Separate the dough.


If you want to make 1 large loaf, then divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
If you need 2 small booths, then divide the dough into 2 equal parts and then another 3 each. In total, you should get 6 equal pieces for 2 buns.

Step 6: Roll the Tetso.


From each piece of dough, we roll the rope with our hands. Try to keep them the same size and length of about 15 cm. 3 ropes are needed per loaf.

Step 7: Weave bread.


Making bread is easy! We begin to fold the harnesses from above, according to the principle of braiding. Do this carefully so that the ropes do not break, you do not need to tighten too tight.

Step 8: Prepare the braid from the dough.


Loose the finished pigtail with a plastic wrap or bag. It will take us 1 hour for the dough to once again increase in volume, about 2 times.
Without wasting time, set the oven to heat up 350 degrees.
In addition, take the remaining egg and beat it in a glass with a teaspoon.
Before the pigtail is ready to go to the oven, grease its surface with an egg with a baking brush.
The baking sheet also needs to be greased, but with vegetable oil. Baking time 30 minutes.
We check readiness not only visually, but also with a wooden stick. To do this, pierce the finished bread with a toothpick, it should remain dry.

Step 9: serve.


Let the bun cool slightly. Cut it into equal slices and serve.

Recipe Tips:

- The bread will turn out to be a bit sweet due to the raisins, so it’s also suitable as a treat for tea.

- If you purposefully prepare the loaf for tea, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the raisins.

- Do not leave the finished bread in the air, it will surely wind and turn into a cracker. It must be stored in a bag or bread box.
