Ingredients for making kefir pies in the oven

Cooking kefir pies in the oven:
Step 1: Knead the dough.
Pour kefir into a deep bowl and add soda. Wait 5-7 minutesso that the reaction goes. Then add vegetable oil and salt. Shuffle. Continuing to stir, gradually add flour. Start kneading the dough to make it homogeneous. If it sticks to your hands, add more flour. After, put the mass in a greased deep plate, cover with cling film and leave to reach 20-30 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare the filling.
While the dough rises, prepare the filling.
Peel the cabbage, remove the top leaves and chop finely, salt to taste and slightly knead with your hands so that it gives juice.
Heat a frying pan, add vegetable oil there and put cabbage, cover with a lid. Stew it for 10-15 minutes.
In the meantime, peel the onions and finely chop or chop with a grater, you can even use a blender if you like the onion to be almost not felt in the dish.
Add the onion to the cabbage and simmer under the lid. 5-7 minutes. Do not forget to add pepper to other seasonings to taste.
Once the vegetables are soft enough, turn off the stove and begin to form pies.
Step 3: Form the pies.
Pinch small pieces from the dough and form flat cakes out of your palms, for this first roll it into a ball and then flatten it. Remember that your hands should be dry, it is best to lightly stain them and the countertop in flour. After you have finished forming the dough, put the filling in the middle of the resulting cakes, stick its edges on top, you get a pie with a plump seam in the middle. Set aside the cake and continue to make pies.
Step 4: Bake the pies.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Grease a heat-resistant baking sheet with a large amount of vegetable oil and put pies on it, seam up.
In a separate bowl, beat one egg and, using a special silicone brush, grease the resulting mass of pies. This is necessary so that the kefir dough pies are rosy and smooth.
Put the baked pan in the oven. Set the timer to 30-35 minutes. After finished baking, remove from the oven and serve.
Step 5: Serve the pies.
Serve the prepared pies with cabbage in the heat of the heat, laying them on a large dish. As a drink, tea, coffee or milk is perfect.
