Making garlic mayonnaise:
Step 1: prepare the lemon.
To make a delicious homemade mayonnaise, we need freshly squeezed lemon juice. To do this, rinse the citrus under running water and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, we cut the component into halves and then squeeze out all the liquid from each, using a juicer. Attention: to make mayonnaise, we need 1 full tablespoon.
Step 2: prepare the garlic.
We spread the garlic on a cutting board and lightly press down with the tip of a knife. Then with clean hands we remove the husk, and the component is washed under running water. Using a garlic squeezer, grind the cloves directly above the saucer and leave it aside for a while.
Step 3: prepare the mayonnaise with garlic.
Pour the egg yolks, olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice into a deep blender bowl. Beat the ingredients with an electric appliance at high speed until the mass begins to turn into mayonnaise. Important: We try to position the tip of the blender so that it mixes well the mixture even at the very bottom of the container.
Then add chopped garlic to mayonnaise, as well as salt and ground black pepper to taste. We continue to whip all the components at medium speed for another 1-2 minutes and we can serve the sauce on the table.
Mayonnaise should turn out to be a dense uniform consistency.
Also, if you have a desire to cool it in advance, then transfer it to a plastic food container, tightly close the lid and put in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
Step 4: serve garlic mayonnaise.
After the mayonnaise with garlic has cooled, put it in a deep bowl and serve at the dinner table along with dishes such as baked meat or fish, as well as fresh vegetables.
- so that the ingredients beat better and combine faster, they must all be at room temperature, and even egg yolks;
- instead of freshly squeezed lemon juice, you can use white wine vinegar;
- in mayonnaise with garlic for spiciness, you can also add 0.5-1 teaspoon of mustard powder.
